Dollar Store DIY Bats on a Branch
Some backyard branches
Black spray or craft paint
Bat cut outs. You can make your own or by a pre cut package at your local Dollar Tree.
Once you have your supplies ready, you can begin crafting something spooky! First, lay your old newspapers on the floor so you can protect the space while painting.
1. Lay your branches flat on the newspaper. Spray or paint evenly using your black paint. You will want to apply two coats, allowing plenty of drying time in between.
2. Arrange the branches in a vase so they stand upright. Just a simple vase of any kind will work, you don’t need anything fancy. You can even stick the branches in a flower pot if you wish.
3. Next, decide how you want to arrange the bats on the branches. Apply a dab of glue to the back of each bat and press to the branches. Press gently to make sure they adhere well.
4. Once your bats are dry on the branches, you can add any embellishments you wish. For our sample project pictured here we left it plain, but you are free to add glitter if you choose!
That’s it! For just a few bucks and in just a few minutes, you can have this spooky Bats on a Branch craft ready to invite the haunting Halloween spirit into your home. Display it anywhere you desire!
