Look how adorable this DIY Valentine Owl craft from a Toilet Paper Roll is that my daughter made for me to share with all of you. Too cute and totally a kiddo or adult craft. These look great hanging from my dining room chandelier (I am having her make more this afternoon). Since it’s cold outside the kids decided it was a craft day and her Valentine Owl Craft from a toilet paper roll is perfect for frugal Valentine decorating.
DIY Valentine Owl Craft from Toilet Paper Roll
The supplies are quite simple, just grab yourself some used toilet paper rolls, some construction paper, some googly eyes if you have them and adhesive. We used some scrap paper and some of those Valentine lunch bags to add a pop of print. We also grabbed some ribbon to add on so I could hang these cute little owls.
Supplies
Used Toilet Paper Rolls
Construction Paper
Googley Eyes if you have them (you can also make eyes from paper and markers)
Scissors
Glue, I used Modge Podge
Ribbon if you would like to hang.
Directions
Cut Paper to the width of your toilet paper roll.
Wrap paper around toilet paper roll and adhere.
Fold sides in to enclose top of toilet paper roll.
Add Googly Eyes with Adhesive.
Cut beak shape out of construction paper and adhere.
Cut heart shapes out of construction paper for wings and adhere to sides.
Adhere ribbon to top to form a loop for hanging (optional).
Such a cute and frugal way to spend our Sunday afternoon. I love that the kids are enjoying some time doing crafts instead of being in front of the television or their game systems. Plus, I like that I have some Frugal Valentine’s Day Decor for the dining room.
I think that these would also make a great treat holder. You could stuff some treats inside the tube and close the bottom off. What a great treat favor for Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it. Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that spending on decor and treats adds up. Doing some fun frugal crafts and treats and home will have you feeling like you scored some savings (It did me, ha ha).
