Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

  • 3 Bell Peppers seeded and split lengthwise
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 large Onion sliced
  • 1/2 tbsp minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 lb London Broil sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 8 slices Provolone Cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Put water in 8x8" baking dish.
  • Place peppers face down in dish.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes.
  • Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add onions and garlic to skillet and cook until slightly softened.
  • Add Worcestershire, meat, salt and pepper.
  • Cook until meat is no longer pink.
  • Drain peppers and turn face up.
  • Place 1 slice of cheese in each pepper half.
  • Drain excess moisture from meat.
  • Fill each with meat mixture and top with another slice of cheese.
  • Bake in oven an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and is beginning to brown.
