Lasagna Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 24 oz jar Spaghetti Sauce
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
  • 6 oz Tomato Paste
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Dried Basil
  • 2 tsp Oregano
  • 2 tsp Parsley FLakes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 8 cup Chicken Broth
  • 12 Lasagna Noodles uncooked and broken into pieces
  • Cheese Garnish:
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef in a large heavy pot over medium heat.
  • Add garlic, onion and pepper flakes and cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Drain excess grease.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, spices and chicken broth.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Add broken lasagna noodles.
  • Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally for 1 hour.
  • Mix cheeses together and garnish each serving with a dollop.
