Easy Lime Cake

This Easy Lime Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting is so simple and tastes amazing. We made some modifications to a simple lemon cake mix to make one amazing and flavorful cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Lemon Cake Mix 18.5 oz box
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 box Lime Gelatin 3 oz box
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 oz softened Cream Cheese
  • Juice for 1/2 Lime about 3 tbsp
  • 4 cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Grease two 9 inch cakes pans.
  • Mix together cake mix, gelatin, oil, eggs, lime juice and orange juice.
  • Pour into prepared pans.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Beat together butter and cream cheese until fluffy.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing until blended.
  • Frost cake.
  • You can optionally garnish with lime zest and lime slices.
