Getting Started At Kroger
Hopefully, if you shop Kroger often you already have a Kroger Plus Card. If not, this should be your first step to saving with Kroger. The Kroger Plus Card is a loyalty card offered at the Service Desk at your local Kroger or apply online here, it is FREE of charge. The Kroger Plus card will save you on gas, allow you to double your coupons, take advantage of sale prices, allow you to load e-coupons (I will explain this later in this post). Another option that is available is the Kroger 1-2-3 Rewards Mastercard credit card. It is used just like your Kroger Plus Card but, it is a credit card that can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. You do not have to charge your groceries on the card but, if you do you will earn points towards free groceries. You can apply for this card here.
Kroger weekly circulars here in Cincinnati normally run Monday-Sunday. If you live in a different area check here to see what sales circular schedule your area Kroger is on. Please Note: My coupon MatchUps are used with the Cincinnati Area Circular.

We reserve the right to limit no more than five (5) paper manufacturer coupons for the same product, each coupon value considered (1) coupon in the same transaction.

Limit one (1) manufacturer coupon (paper or digital) per item purchased – redeemed at Face Value

Another Great way to add up the savings! Kroger offers its Kroger Plus Card members electronic coupons (Ecoupons). E- coupons are coupons not needing to be clipped. All you have to do is load the coupons you wish to use on to your Kroger Plus Card. When your card is scanned, the coupons are automatically taken off. One benefit to using E-coupons is, you can use other “paper” coupons in addition (stack them) to the e-coupon on the same product. You can find E-coupons on Kroger website HERE, CellFire found HERE as well as SavingStar Found HERE.
Kroger offers its customers Catalina Coupons. These are great for additional savings. If you are unfamiliar with a Catalina machine, it is a separate printer located next to the register that produces additional coupons. Sometimes they will be an advertisement for an upcoming Catalina deal or, an actual manufactures coupon for $’s off your next order. Sometimes Kroger has a deal where if you buy X you get $X off your next order.
Kroger Store Coupons
If you shop Kroger with your Kroger Plus card you will frequently receive coupons by snail mail . I LOVE the freebie coupons they seem to always snail mail me. Sometimes these coupons are store coupons and other times they are manufactures coupons.
My Kroger seems to keep things stocked quite well. If something is not on the shelf, or on the end caps displays, I will ask one of the people stocking if they can check out back for me for additional product. If there is no stock on hand, I will approach customer service for a rain check and I always ask for max allowed quantity. If it is an item I want to stockpile, I will quite often check a few times a week and save my rain check for later.
Kroger frequently has promotions running like “buy 10 of these certain products, get $4 off instantly at the checkout”. I love when they do these type sales as if you combine them with coupons, the result is quite often FREE or really cheap items.
During 10 for $10 sales, you do not need to purchase 10 items to score the item for $1.00.
During Buy One Get One Free, you should be able to use 2 coupons, 1 coupon for each item.
