Instant Pot (No Soak) Baked Beans

Baked beans are one of my favorite side dishes during the summer time. We use our grill so often and we almost always have fresh or leftover baked beans for a side dish. I usually make our beans in our slow cooker or sometimes in the oven. During the hot months, I really do not like to turn on the oven because it warms the house up so quickly.

Since finally purchasing an Instant Pot a couple months ago, I have been trying so many different recipes in our new gadget. I have to say it is a learning experience. My Instant Pot Corn on the Cob has been made so many times already that I feel like the pressure cooker has paid for itself with just that one recipe. I love how quick and easy that recipe is.

Our Instant Pot Ribs have been a recipe we have made quite a few times. I know we will be making all of our rib recipes in the Instant Pot from this point forward. When making baked beans from scratch, it can be very time consuming since you usually have to let your beans soak overnight. With these Instant Pot (No Soak) Baked Beans, we do not have the dreaded wait time. This recipe can be made so quickly and easily.

I loaded our beans up with lots of great flavors. I can not have baked beans without onions and bacon. I added in quite a bit. The blend of spices was perfect. I did use our slow cooker option to finish the cooking process. I knew if I pressure cooked them for the last 30 minutes, I would get the dreaded “burn” warning. So, I used the slow cooker function on our Instant Pot. If you do not have the option on your Instant Pot, you may want to skip this recipe or you will need to place them in your oven or slow cooker. I forgot to grab my ingredient picture for this recipe like I normally include (oops… sorry, lol)

  1. Loved this recipe! The only thing that I would change is to cook the beans for 30 minutes instead of 60. Other than that they were delicious. May have to try jalapeno bacon next time. Sounds yummy. Will be freezing the leftovers.

  2. Loved the Beans but it makes too much for just my husband & me. I gave the extra away to the neighbors & they loved them too. But my question is, can I freeze the leftovers? Keep them coming your recipes are always first rate and scrumptious. Thanks

Just made these beans this morning. Love the flavour, definitely sweeter beans but that’s the way I like mine! Will make again for sure.

Great Recipe! I made this on a whim for the folks at work, I used Jalapeño bacon that added a little spice to it.

  5. This is truly the perfect side dish to bring to BBQ’s and family reunions. People always love baked beans and I love how easy they are to make! Thanks for sharing your recipe with us at Merry Monday this week!

  6. Are the beans mushy? I usually pressure cook dried navy beans for 30 minutes, then natural release and they are ready to eat.

I cooked mine for 60 minutes and they were perfect! Maybe a bit less if you like your beans firm.
