These DIY Cleaning Wipes are going to save you some $$’s. This past weekend we did some deep cleaning in the bathroom. We were having guests over and the bathroom was really needing some scrubbing. I quite often will pick up the brand name cleaning wipes when I find a sale and a coupon. A few years ago I really stocked up. Lately I have not replenished my stock. I know… shame on me, ha ha. I was quick to ask the hubby to run out to the store to purchase us a few packages of Cleaning Wipes so I could finish my cleaning. I then recalled seeing a DIY Cleaning Wipes online that was sure to save him from running to the store and also save us some $$’s.
DIY Cleaning Wipes
Making your own DIY Cleaning Wipes at home is so simple. Grab some paper towels, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, baking soda and some dish soap. Oh and you will need a plastic container too! I used an empty wipes container I had on hand. You could use just about any container you have around. Coffee Canisters work great too. I decided to add on a label to my plastic container so that it matched my decor. I am kind of silly like that. If you are silly and like even your cleaning supplies to look trendy you can also just spray paint your container too!
1- Large Plastic Container (I used a Maxwell House Coffee Container for mine)
1 Roll of Paper Towels
1/4 Cup of Water
1/4 Cup of Lemon Juice
1/2 Cup Vinegar
1 Tbsp Rubbing Alcohol
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Dish Soap
Cut a slit in the lid of your container. This will allow your towels to pull through.
Using a large serrated knife cut your paper towels so that they will fit upright in your container.
Remove the cardboard tube from the center of your towels.
Place paper towels inside of your container
Mix together your water, lemon juice, vinegar and rubbing alcohol.
Add in your baking soda and the dish soap.
Pour the combined solution over top of your towels.
Use your towels on your hard surfaces. The solution will kill the germs and will make your surface sparkle.
The next time you are running low on Cleaning wipes be sure to whip up a batch of Homemade DIY Cleaning Wipes. The cost is minimal and you most likely have everything needed on hand.
