If you are looking for the perfect after school snack this Apple Sandwich Recipe is perfect. With Back to School on the horizon I know many of you will be looking for some quick, easy and healthy after school snacks. When my kiddos arrive home from school they are ALWAYS ready to eat. I am always looking for different options and this Apple Sandwich recipe is always one of their favorites.
After School Snack- Apple Sandwiches Recipe
Apple Sandwiches are so simple to make and they come together so quickly. We load our apple sandwiches up with Peanut Butter, Granola and Raisins. You could always use cookie butter or even leave out the raisins.
I will quite often pic up a large bag of apples for school lunches as they are so simple to toss in the lunchboxes. We always have more than enough for lunches and for snacks. If I have a coupon for brand name granola I will stock up as we use quite a bit of granola. If I do not locate a sale and coupon deal I will grab a few boxes at Aldi (their pricing on granola is pretty good).
2-3 tbsp Peanut Butter
3 tbsp Granola
Remove cores from apples and cut into 1/4-1/2″ thick slices
Spread apple slice with peanut butter.
Top with granola and raisins.
Place another apple slice on top and gently press together.
Repeat with remaining apple slices.
Last school season my kiddos were loving these Apple Sandwiches so much that I was tired of coring my apples with a knife. I decide that I would go ahead and purchase an Apple Corer. If you are needing a great apple corer you can check your local stores or hop on over to Amazon and snag this Cuisipro Apple Corer. I LOVE having this on hand to core apples much quicker.
